Join the Galarama closed test

Five short steps. You need an Android TV or Google TV device and a Google account. Galarama is in English for now.

  1. Join the test

Ask the organiser to add your Google account (the Gmail address you use on your TV) to the tester list. Then, signed in to that account, open the test page on Google Play and tap Become a tester.

    Open the test page
  2. Install it on your TV

Use an Android TV or Google TV device signed in to the same Google account. Install Galarama from the Play Store on the TV, or open Galarama on Google Play in a browser and choose Install on more devices.

Galarama is made for TVs only, so it does not install on phones or tablets. Right after you join, the app can take a little while to show up.

  3. Add your own source

On first launch, read the notice and select Agree and continue. Give your playlist a name, then connect a source you are allowed to use: scan the code on the TV with your phone and send the details from there (how pairing works), or select Enter manually and type it with the remote.

Galarama includes no content and no playlists, and the organiser does not provide any.

  4. Turn on crash reports

Open Settings with the button next to the Galarama logo at the top of the screen, then go to About and turn on Send crash reports.

It is off unless you turn it on. A report holds the device model, the app version and the error trace. It never holds your sources, addresses or what you watch.

  5. Stay in for 14 days

Stay opted in for at least 14 days and use Galarama now and then. Send feedback privately through the Play Store (on Galarama’s page, as a tester), or write to [email protected].

You can leave the test at any time from the same test page. Galarama is playback software: it does not supply, host, index, resell or recommend media of any kind.
